Volunteer
Children's Church
Children's Church volunteers minister to our children during our weekend worship service through singing, telling stories, and teaching the truth of God's Word. They check in kids, provide assistance to teachers, care for infants, organize and setup games and crafts, or teach a lesson.
Groups
Group volunteers lead groups to cultivate gospel-centered community. They oversee groups of 6-15 individuals, most commonly Life Groups or Bible studies. Group leaders facilitate discussion, encourage group members to faithfulness, and foster spiritual growth in group members.
Service Team
The service team acts as the face of GCC. The service team performs multiple roles during our weekend service. Common tasks involve greeting attendees, handing out bulletins, serving communion, working the coffee and cookie bar, and in general assistance of attendees needs and questions.
Facilities
The facilities team keeps our church building (the Belle Plaine Area Museum) looking great. They set up prior to the service and tear down following the service. They also act in a janitorial role, cleaning bathrooms, vacuuming floors, taking out trash and wiping down tables.
Large Events
The large events team is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing large scale community wide events throughout the year. These events exist to bring friends, family, and neighbors together into a fun, non-threatening, and gospel-centered environment.
Technology
If it has a button, these guys and gals like to push it. Technology volunteers keep things running smoothly during our weekend service and at events. They also help with setup of tech equipment. If you are technology proficient and would enjoy supporting this ministry, we welcome you.
Youth Group
Youth Group volunteers have the opportunity to build relationships and foster relationships with our junior high and high school students. Along with building relationships, volunteers help with games, snacks, developing large-scale events, chauffeuring trips, and leading small groups.
