Our current sermon series is on the Book of Ephesians. This book was written by the Apostle Paul to the church in Ephesus nearly 2,000 years ago, but no book in the Bible seems to be more pertinent to our lives in our current day and age.

Today, Christianity is under assault from many corners. Elements within Christendom itself are questioning the exlusive position of Christ, as well as the trust-worthiness of Scripture. Couple these trends with a general lack of understanding of the gospel and its power for everyday living and you have a recipe for defeat. The book of Ephesians is a magnificent hymn of adoration recounting the spiritual blessings which God bestows upon His people in Christ. These blessings motivate the followers of Christ "to live a life worthy of the calling you have received" in the power of the Holy Spirit of God. As followers of Christ are empowered to "put off the old" and "put on the new," victory~abundant life, is ours.
