If you are wondering what the steps are to becoming a covenant member at Grace Community Church, here's the answer! These 4 steps are designed to ensure you are informed about who we are as a church-our vision, mission, and beliefs-as well as the responsibilities of members at GCC. If you have already completed one or more of these steps, great! These steps do not necessarily have to be done in this order, but all steps do need to be completed in order to become a covenant member at GCC.

Step 1: GETTING TO KNOW GRACE LUNCH/CLASS

At our Getting To Know Grace lunch, you'll meet some of our elders and core group members. You'll also meet others interested in membership at GCC and have the opportunity to connect with everyone over a meal in a relaxed environment. In addition, the class portion will clearly identify our purpose, unpack key statements, and provide our strategy for making disciples. This class breaks down the how and why we are moving forward as a church. Getting to know Grace Lunches are held on the fifth Saturday of the month 3-4 times per year. Step 2: QUESTIONNAIRE

In this step you'll be given the opportunity to tell us some more about yourself. You will be given two questionnaires. These questionnaires will be available following the getting to know grace class, and will also be e-mailed to you following the class. You can complete these questionnaires at your own pace and in the comfort of your own home. Once completed, the leadership of the church will review the questionnaires and meet with you to discuss your answers, ask any pertinent questions, and answer any further questions you may have.

Step 3: BAPTISM

If you have not been previously baptized as a public expression of your belief, commitment, and submission to Jesus Christ, we would love to baptize you! If you would like to be baptized, our Understanding Baptism class covers the why's, when's, and how's of baptism. This class is held 3-4 times per year, typically before or after our Saturday night service. If you would like to be baptized at GCC, this class is mandatory.

Step 4: MEMBERSHIP COVENANT

The final step in becoming a member at GCC is to meet with an elder of the church to sign the membership covenant. We will explain the covenant and answer any further questions you may have. Once you have fulfilled the previous requirements and signed the covenant, you are considered a covenant member of Grace Community Church, a weighty but wonderful commitment!
